HOTEL PELI

About our hotel

  • Hotel Peli is located in the beautiful town of Kissamos in the prefecture of Chania.
  • It was here where brothers Kostis and Manolis Pateromichelakis believed in and envisioned to create one of the first hotels of the area, motivated by the need to offer a friendly and familiar ambience.
  • Hotel Peli has operated since 1987 and has accommodated visitors from Greece and all over the world, many of whom come back every year not only to feel the owners’ warmth and hospitality but also to enjoy the natural beauties of Kissamos.
  • The time has come now for the new generation of the family to start engaging more in the hotel’s growth and thinking creatively about the future, expanding the hotel offers among others to the yoga holidays (last year we invested our time in building the spacious open area dedicated exclusively to yoga groups to be ready yet before the season began). At the same time maintaining the entirely family character of this place that draws many people to us.
  • The arrangement and decoration of the hotel is based on simple, austere lines that leave its architectural stigma invariable through the passing of time; lines that relax relieve and revitalize the visitor.
  • You can feel that sense of well-being by staying in one of the 29 rooms which meet the requirements of all modern amenities and by choosing a book from the library situated in the living room on the first floor.
  • You will enjoy your tasteful breakfast (buffet) from local products, organic fruits and homemade marmelade on the spacious veranda surrounded by bougainvilleas with a sea view.
  • You can also enjoy your postmeridian coffee or tea , your cocktail in the breeze of the garden around the swimming pool or try a salad prepared from organic vegetable from our house’s garden at our snack bar.

Stayed here for a week and it was a lovely break! The hotel staff were all very friendly and had no problems speaking English. The breakfast was lovely and had lots of choice plus free WIFI which is a bonus! One of the cheapest and best hotel we've been in so highly recommend! The bus stop is opposite the hotel so we managed to visit a few of the big attractions without problems.

We wanted to stay at a place away from the tourist crowds and close to some nice beaches at Crete. What a bliss that we found this nice little hotel. It was such a joy to stay here and experience greek hospitality. Balos Beach is only 15km away and Falassarna Beach is also 20 km away. The center of Kissamos is a short walk away and the beach is literally on the other side of the street. There are shops and cafes in the nearby and the owner suggested us an amazing fish restaurant at the little fishing port just 1km away. Rooms are very clean and they were recently renovated. They are equipped with kettle, mini fridge, mugs, glasses, TV, free WIFI and AC. I was actually surprised how well equipped the rooms were, we also slept perfectly well in the comfy beds. The pool area is very clean and great to relax. It is not like a package holiday hotel so it is perfect for individual travellers. There will be no animation at the pool or crowded breakfast at the restaurant. You are looked after by the owners and you can feel the warm hospitality at this place. I would definitely return here and would highly recommend to anyone staying here.

This is definitely one of the most pleasant hotels which I have stayed at. Located only few yards away from the sea with a sandy beach, shallow water (perfect for kids!) and free deck chairs from the local cafes. This family run hotel offers clean airy rooms with balconies, air-conditioners and comfortable beds. There is a nice and clean swimming pool in the garden, sun loungers and parasols. The pavilion at the back of the hotel is a good place for those who would like to exercise, practice yoga or just meditate. Free high speed WiFi at the hotel makes a handy addition. I particularly would compliment the breakfast - a variety of fresh fruits, freshly squeezed juice, locally sourced herbal tea, traditional Greek yogurts, honey, bread, eggs, etc. The best of all, however, was the experience provided by the family who run the hotel. They were always friendly and happy to help.
